Building a closed AI agent

The holiday season is always a time I give myself to play with technology. Over the next few weeks I'm building a closed, private AI agent on an old mac laptop that has been gathering dust.I believe AI can be used for GOOD and my goal is to take what I learn and share it with organizations and individuals who are out there making the world a better place.Do I know anyone who has done this? Can you lend any advice?
